Job Description

For a scale-up in Utrecht we are looking for an experienced and driven Tech Lead. In this role you will lead a team of 4 engineers and contribute hands-on to the development and operations of software solutions.

As Software Development Lead you are a hands-on team lead overseeing the Development and Ops team (4 FTE). You are responsible for developing and delivering stable, scalable and well documented solutions. You will coordinate between teams, safeguard the architecture, enhance productivity and decision-making - and actively contribute to software development yourself. You will implement and refine policies, guidelines and standards. In addition, you will steer the maintenance and management of the cloud environment to ensure it runs safely and efficiently.
You will report to the CEO.

- Improve workflow efficiency

  • Align Engineering and Cloud Ops

- Further develop safe, scalable and maintainable solutions
- Ensure infrastructure supports product goals

  • Decision-making and technical governance

- Organise fast, well-founded decisions with all relevant stakeholders
- Encourage a data-driven and context-driven decision culture
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 27001 and NEN 7510 standards

  • Technical support and engineering

- Apply modern practices like DevOps, event-driven architecture, and performance monitoring
- Initiate efforts to automate or innovate technology solutions

  • At least 5 years of experience as a senior or lead engineer, including experience with C#.NET

  • Strong knowledge of DevOps principles, CI/CD pipelines and agile development methodologies

  • Experience with containerisation and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes

  • Demonstrable experience with infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation

  • Strong problem solving skills and the ability to handle complex technical challenges

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills in cross functional environments

  • Direct interaction with the CEO and strong influence on technical direction

  • Competitive salary of approximately 85,000 to 95,000 euros per year
