Role - Software Developer - PHP
Rate: £450 (Outside IR35)
Duration: 6 months

Clearance: Active SC

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain secure, high-quality PHP applications and services.
• Build and enhance websites and digital products using WordPress, Wagtail CMS, and custom PHP frameworks.
• Develop and optimise MySQL databases, ensuring performance, reliability, and scalability.
• Deliver Front End features using Node.js, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, ensuring accessibility and responsive design.
• Deploy, monitor, and manage applications on the AWS platform, including ECS, Fargate, Lightsail, CloudWatch, and WAF.
• Support DevOps workflows, CI/CD pipelines, automation, and environment management.
• Troubleshoot issues, perform root-cause analysis, and ensure secure, stable, and maintainable code.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams within a secure, agile government delivery environment.

Essential Skills:

• Strong commercial experience with PHP, WordPress, MySQL
• Experience with Wagtail CMS
• Front End development experience (Node.js, JS, HTML, CSS)
• AWS cloud experience: ECS, Fargate, LightSail, CloudWatch, WAF
• Demonstrable background in DevOps practices
• Ability to work within secure and regulated environments
• Active SC clearance required
