Software Developer C++ (All Genders)

At Paessler, we make software. More specifically, PRTG, a network, cloud, and IoT monitoring software trusted by more than 500,000 users worldwide. To continuously modernize and further develop our code base, we are looking for you to join our team on a long-term basis. Why this position is important: Our software collects performance data from a wide range of technologies and protocols implemented in different programming languages. To ensure that we continue to provide high-quality solutions in the future, we rely on a dedicated team that works creatively and purposefully to collect performance data efficiently and reliably.Please note that we can only consider applications from permanent residents of Czechia.
Furthermore we want to inform you that we offer full time employment contracts only and cannot consider B2B or freelancing models.

YOUR TASKS

• You will work in a small, agile team that contributes directly to product development.
• You will develop new features and components for our sensors in C++ and Python across platforms.
• You will migrate existing features and sensors from our old codebase to our modern architecture.
• You will contribute your ideas and implement them in coordination with your team and the product owner.
• You take responsibility for high code and product quality.
• If necessary, you will support us in our work on existing code in Delphi and on new developments in Rust.
• You will help our technical support team with 3rd-level cases if necessary.

YOUR PROFILE

• You already have in-depth experience in C++ projects.
• You consider Unit Testing, Code Reviews and Continuous Integration to be essential.
• You are familiar with version control in Git.
• You enjoy familiarising yourself with new technologies and protocols.
• You are adept at working on Windows and Linux.
• You think long-term and never lose sight of the overall architecture.
