Job Description

CCQ Tech is a fully remote business that develops bespoke, high-quality software solutions for the Financial and Engineering sectors. We work with complex projects when others won't or can't.

We focus on a fast-paced mentality and a results-first approach, keeping bureaucracy to a minimum to ensure quality and trust with our clients. The company has more than doubled in value twice in recent years, and we're continuing to grow.

We are looking for experienced individuals to join our team in a lead role. This is a chance to shape projects end-to-end, architect solutions, and oversee others to deliver real-world impact.

What you'll do

  • Own the full product delivery process - from client relations and product specification, through developer experience and project management, to deployment, pipelines, and real-world usage.

  • Lead by example: guiding developers, promoting knowledge sharing, and ensuring quality throughout.

  • Solve complex technical and business problems with pragmatic, results-oriented solutions.

Our Tech

We work across many projects, some involving integrations with Legacy systems, so a strong conceptual understanding of software architecture is key. Current and upcoming projects involve:

  • Frontend: React, Angular, strong TypeScript knowledge

  • Backend: C#, SQL (Postgres primarily, others possible), PHP (occasionally relevant)

  • DevOps: Docker, containerised deployments, pipelines, AWS, Azure

  • Emerging Tech : AI integrations including LLMs (Gemini, OpenAI, etc) or bespoke architected and trained ML models.

We value experience, flexibility, and pragmatism over a perfect tech-stack fit.

Skills & Experience

The right person will have:

  • Strong academics (eg top A-levels, relevant degree or equivalent)

  • Proven skills in architecting and solution design

  • Strong client relationship management

  • Product and agile project life cycle management experience

  • Ability to problem-solve, take charge, and deliver results

  • Experience managing teams and enabling others to grow

In summary, we're looking for someone who:

  • Wants to have a big influence in their role and the company's direction

  • Loves tackling complex, non-trivial problems to deliver real-world solutions

  • Enjoys the flexibility of a fully remote, results-driven job

  • Thrives on autonomy and creative problem-solving

Package

  • Salary: £60-90k (depending on experience)

  • Fully remote, flexible working

  • Opportunities to lead challenging, high-impact projects in a fast-growing company

If you like getting stuck into difficult problems, and want the autonomy to approach things your way while making a meaningful difference, we'd love to hear from you.
