Social Worker - Adults Services -

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a qualified Social Worker to join an Adults Services team based at Fountain Court, Middlesbrough (TS1). This is a locum position available from 1st May 2026, offering a competitive rate of £203.90 per hour.

Working within Adults Services, you will carry a varied caseload supporting adults with a range of needs, including older people, those with physical disabilities, learning disabilities, and mental health conditions. You will conduct assessments, develop care and support plans, and work collaboratively with multi agency partners to safeguard and promote the wellbeing of service users.

Key responsibilities will include undertaking Care Act assessments, managing ongoing cases, attending multi disciplinary meetings, and maintaining accurate case records in line with local authority standards. You will be expected to work within relevant legislation and local authority policies, demonstrating a commitment to person centred practice.

The successful candidate will hold a recognised Social Work qualification (BA or MA in Social Work or equivalent), be registered with Social Work England, and have demonstrable post qualifying experience within an adults social care setting. Experience working within a statutory local authority team is highly desirable.
