Band 4 Social Work Assistant (Contact Worker) - Belfast
Support Children & Families Stable Hours Competitive Pay

We are currently recruiting Band 4 Social Work Assistants (Contact Workers) to join a busy and supportive Children's Services Team in Belfast. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable experience within statutory social services while making a real difference to children and families.

Location:Belfast
Hours:Monday - Friday 9:00am - 5:00pm
Pay Rate:£14.06 per hour
Mileage:58p per mile

The Role:

As a Contact Worker, you will support Social Workers and Managers in delivering high-quality services to children and families. You will play a key role in ensuring safe, positive, and well-managed contact arrangements.

Your responsibilities will include:
  • Supporting Social Workers in the delivery ofChildren's Services
  • Supervising and facilitating family contact sessions
  • Completing allocated tasks to support casework
  • Recording and reporting observations accurately
  • Working closely with families, carers, and professionals
  • Supporting safeguarding and child protection processes
  • Maintaining professional and confidential records
Essential Criteria:
  • 3 years' experience in a social care role
  • NISCC Registration
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a car with business insurance
  • Willingness to complete mandatory in-house training
  • Willing to complete an Enhanced Access NI check annually
