Social Work Assistant - Child Health and Disability Team -

Cardiff Children's Services is seeking a Social Work Assistant to join the established Child Health and Disability (CHAD) Team at County Hall, Cardiff. This is a temporary role paying £16.62-£21.60 per hour via Prism, available from 7 September 2026.

Working alongside qualified social workers and supported by the Principal Social Worker and Team Manager, you will assist with the delivery of services to children with health and disability needs, managing a small allocated caseload.

Essential requirements: a valid UK driving licence and access to a car; ability to work in Cardiff; availability to commence within four weeks of interview; and demonstrable experience working with children. Experience supporting children with complex needs is desirable.
