Social Care Worker

Permanent Contract, 30 hours.

Seoidin Children's Residential Service, Patrickswell Co Limerick

About the Role

To provide an individualised service to children with a diagnosis of intellectual disability and/or Autism Spectrum Disorder, in an environment which values and respects the rights of the individual in line with The National Standards for Residential Services for Adults and children.

What We're Looking For

• A third level graduate, Health & Social Care or equivalent
• Full clean driving licence
• Experience of working in a residential care setting
• Knowledge and understanding of autism spectrum disorder and intellectual disability

Your Responsibilities

• Promote and actively involved in teamwork, creating a nurturing and supportive environment for the service user.
• Facilitate and implement a person-centred service appropriate to the needs, wishes and requirements of service users.
• Provide personal assistance in all aspects of personal care and manual handling, ensuring comfort and hygiene of service users and adhering to safe practice and risk assessments at all times.

Salary

Salary starting from point 1 € 38,217.40 to point 10 € 52,994.26 pro rata and subject to negotiation depending on experience and qualification.
