Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled ServiceNow Platform Developer for a contract role based in London. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the end-to-end development, configuration, and optimization of ServiceNow applications and integrations, ensuring high-quality delivery aligned with platform best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

Platform Development & Configuration

• Develop and configure Custom Applications, UI Policies, Business Rules, Client Scripts.
• Implement and maintain Workflows, Flow Designer flows, and Integration Hub spokes.
• Support integrations using REST, SOAP, MID Server, Kafka, etc.
• Translate architecture/designs into scalable, performant code aligned with ServiceNow standards.

Performance Optimization

• Profile and debug scripts, workflows, and queries to identify bottlenecks.
• Optimize GlideRecord, ACL performance, background jobs, and indexing.
• Collaborate with architects on performance improvement strategies.

Code Quality & Technical Debt

• Identify and resolve technical debt in custom modules.
• Participate in code reviews; refactor and write clean, modular code following best practices.

Testing & Validation

• Conduct unit and regression testing; assist with performance testing.
• Use Instance Scan, Script Tracer, Debug Logs, etc. to troubleshoot and resolve issues.

Agile Collaboration & Demo Readiness

• Actively participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies.
• Collaborate with BAs, Product Owners, and Developers to ensure business alignment.
• Prepare instances for demos/UATs: data setup, role mapping, and environment cleanup.
• Lead technical demos and ensure environments are stable and performance-tested.

Release Support

• Define/manage release readiness criteria from a technical standpoint.
• Support bi-weekly feature releases, ensuring smooth and reliable delivery.
