Job Description

Are you a confident and enthusiastic Veterinary Surgeon ready for a new chapter? This well-established and thriving practice in the Hillingdon district is looking for someone just like you - someone who's passionate about exceptional patient care and excited to be part of a genuinely supportive team.
You'll join a close and collaborative team made up of four vets, four nurses, a dedicated veterinary care assistant, and three welcoming receptionists. With interests ranging from soft tissue surgery to internal medicine, this is a team that thrives on learning, sharing knowledge, and working together to provide the highest standards of care.
They also know that great veterinary work starts with a happy team. So they make it a priority to celebrate one another's achievements - whether it's birthdays, team outings, or seasonal get-togethers, the practice culture is built around balance, wellbeing, and mutual support.
The surgery is purpose-built, bright, air-conditioned, and fully equipped with cutting-edge facilities. With a digital X-ray, ultrasound, multiparameter monitoring, an electrosurgical unit, and Idexx lab machines, you'll have everything you need to do your best work. The practice also has free parking for both staff and clients, making your day that little bit easier.
This practice is set in a fantastic place to live and work. It offers a peaceful, suburban setting with all the convenience of Greater London living. Green spaces, good schools, and a strong sense of community make it ideal for professionals and families alike. Thanks to the Central and Metropolitan lines, you can be in the heart of London in under an hour - perfect for those who want the best of both worlds.
They are keen to find a Veterinary Surgeon registered with the RCVS and ideally with a minimum of two years' experience in small animal practice. You should be confident with consultations and routine surgeries, and if you have some experience with exotics, that's a welcome bonus. The role is ideally full-time - 40 hours over four days - but they are happy to discuss part-time options too. The weekend rota is one in three, with Saturdays from 9am to 6pm and Sundays from 10am to 4pm. There are no out-of-hours or bank holiday shifts, allowing you to enjoy a better work-life balance.
They are committed to recognising your skills and experience with a competitive salary of up to £60,000. You'll receive a generous CPD allowance and they'll happily support further training, including certificate funding. Holiday starts at 5.6 weeks and increases to 6.6 weeks after two years, with an additional day off to celebrate your birthday. You'll also benefit from private health insurance, a contributory pension scheme, and paid professional memberships for the RCVS, BVA and VDS.
Relocation support and visa sponsorship are available for the right candidate, and their wellbeing programme ensures you're supported throughout your career.
