Job Description
Blue Coat Church of England Academy Sixth Form Student Progress Coach (Non-Teaching) 35 hours per week NJC 23-28 (dependent on experience)

We are seeking a dedicated, enthusiastic and student-focused individual to join our experienced and supportive team in an exciting role supporting student achievement and progress. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated candidate to make a real difference to students' lives by providing targeted mentoring, intervention and academic support, helping students to develop the skills, confidence and resilience needed to succeed. The successful candidate will work closely with teaching and pastoral staff, supporting identified students through 1:1 and small group interventions.

Responsibilities
  • Providing mentoring and support to identified students
  • Delivering structured intervention programmes and study support sessions
  • Supporting students with organisation, resilience and motivation
  • Monitoring and tracking student engagement and progress
  • Working closely with staff, parents and carers
  • Supporting a positive learning environment
Candidate Requirements
  • Has experience or strong interest in working with young people
  • Demonstrates strong communication and organisational skills
  • Can build positive relationships with students, staff and families
  • Is flexible, proactive and committed
  • Has enthusiasm for helping students overcome barriers to learning
Salary and Working Pattern
  • Salary: NJC Scale (£28,391 £32,281 pro rata), depending on experience
  • Contract: Term Time Only
  • Flexibility may be required, including occasional out of hours work
