Site Supervisor - Museum of London

Vertex are currently recruiting a Working Site Supervisor to cover Museum of London.

Reporting to the Contract Manager you will act as the coordination point for the day-to day activities on site. You will interact with the team, specialist service partners, and build strong relationships with the client and tenants.

As Working Site Supervisor you will be responsible for ensuring that all activities within the building are undertaken with a professional and conscientious outlook in line with our corporate objectives. You should have robust interpersonal and team working skills, in addition to solid decision making abilities and the ability to multi task effectively.

Key Responsibilities

• Close liaison and working relationship with the Client
• Operate all systems within the buildings in a competent, effective and efficient manner
• Act as the Duty Authorised Person (HV) whilst on duty
• Issue relevant site Permits as part of the Safe System of Work
• Completion of PPM and reactive tasks and update the system
• Ensure that daily tours are completed and repair or report any defects found via the Landlord/Tenant helpdesk
• Identification of materials required to be ordered in a timely manner
• Compiling monthly reports
• Comply with both statutory and company health, safety and environmental regulations and policies
• Timely implementation and recording of statutory inspections including accurate recording of fire and water hygiene records
• Control of specialist contractors including monitoring of work performance and standards, including internal auditing where applicable
• Ensure that Specialist Service Provider worksheets are signed off, that quality of work is inspected and recommendations followed up
• Take responsibility for escalating critical incidents and producing and submitting incident reports within the prescribed timescales in conjunction with the Contract Manager
• The Working Site Supervisor will ensure that Plant areas, workshops, stores, changing/rest areas etc. are kept to the highest level of housekeeping

The hours of work average 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday between 08:00 & 17:00, however, flexibility is required to complete the duties associated with the role.
