About the Role

• We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Azure Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join a dynamic engineering team working on mission-critical infrastructure in the energy sector. This role is ideal for professionals passionate about cloud reliability, automation, and performance optimization in a secure and innovative environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Automation & CI/CD: Design and maintain automation frameworks for deployment, scaling, and environment management.
• Monitoring & Alerting: Implement and manage monitoring tools to ensure system health and performance using Azure Monitor, Application Insights, Log Analytics, and third-party tools like Grafana, Splunk, or Elastic Stack.
• Incident Management: Respond to incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement preventive measures.
• Performance Optimization: Continuously analyze and improve system performance and scalability.
• Capacity Planning: Forecast infrastructure needs and ensure readiness for growth.
• Collaboration: Work closely with development teams to embed reliability into the software lifecycle.
• Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of systems, configurations, and operational procedures.
• Security & Governance: Ensure compliance with security standards and manage cost and governance using Azure Policies, Cost Management, and management groups.

On-call Support: Participate in a rotating on-call schedule for critical systems.

Required Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum 5 years in a Site Reliability Engineer or DevOps role with a strong focus on Microsoft Azure.
• Cloud Expertise: Deep knowledge of Azure services including VMs, Storage, Networking, and hybrid cloud environments.
• Infrastructure as Code: Proficiency in tools like Terraform, ARM templates, or Bicep.
• Scripting: Strong skills in Python, PowerShell, and Azure CLI.
• Monitoring Tools: Hands-on experience with Azure-native and third-party monitoring/logging tools.
• Networking: Solid understanding of cloud networking concepts (VPNs, NSGs, load balancers, hub & spoke).
• Governance & Cost Management: Experience with Azure governance frameworks and cost optimization strategies.
