Site Piping Engineer

Join a world-class nuclear energy project and play a pivotal role in the delivery of piping installation for Hinkley Point C. We're looking for a proactive, technically strong Site Piping Engineer to join the MEH programme at the construction site.
The RoleAs a Site Piping Engineer, you will lead the engineering activities supporting the on-site installation of piping systems across BNI and BOP areas. You'll act as the technical interface between design and delivery, ensuring construction is unblocked and progresses safely, efficiently, and to the highest engineering standards.
Key ResponsibilitiesDeliver engineering activities for the HK8010 installation contract - including technical specifications, document coordination, surveillance plans, and exemption management.
Resolve technical queries and construction open points to prevent delays on site.
Coordinate technical reviews and updates to discipline-specific documents, including installation specs and commissioning documents.
Act as technical point of contact for the construction contractor and interface with Field Engineering on site changes and non-conformances.
Support KPI development for site activity tracking.
Integrate post-construction needs into planning (e.g., Hydro Test Loops, Test Packs).
Promote improvements to engineering processes and redlining.
Proven experience in a site-based engineering role within the construction sector.
Strong engineering discipline with attention to quality, safety, and project deadlines.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to coordinate and empower site engineering teams.
Effective communication and stakeholder influence.
Ability to work independently and manage complex workloads in a high-pressure environment.
Awareness of commercial and contractual elements in a site setting.
Engineering degree in a relevant discipline.
Chartered Engineer status (or working towards).
Experience in nuclear projects, especially PWR systems.
Familiarity with CDM regulations.
Working knowledge of French is an advantage.
