Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Freelance Site Manager to oversee the successful delivery of a commercial office fit-out project in Kent.
This role requires a proactive and organised Site Manager with a strong background in commercial fit-outs, capable of managing subcontractors, maintaining programme, and ensuring the highest standards of health & safety and quality throughout the project.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day running of the site.
- Coordinate and supervise all subcontractors and trades.
- Ensure works are completed safely, on programme, and to a high standard.
- Maintain compliance with all Health & Safety legislation and company procedures.
- Conduct site inductions, toolbox talks, and daily briefings.
- Liaise with the client, project team, and suppliers.
- Monitor progress, quality, and programme, resolving site issues as they arise.
- Maintain accurate site records, reports, and documentation.
Essential Requirements
Applicants must hold the following:
- Black CSCS Card (Manager Level)
- SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme)
- First Aid at Work (3-Day)
- Fire Marshal Certificate
- Asbestos Awareness Certificate
- NVQ Level 5 or Level 6 in Construction Site Management (or equivalent)
- Proven experience managing commercial office fit-out projects
- Strong understanding of Health & Safety legislation and CDM regulations
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
- Available to start on 17th August and commit through to Christmas
