Vital Synergy is looking for a proactive and experienced Commercial Site Manager to join our growing delivery team. This is more than a traditional site role, it's an opportunity to lead major commercial projects, coordinate multidisciplinary teams, and ensure the successful delivery of high-quality engineering solutions across critical environments such as schools, industrial sites, and public sector buildings.

Role Overview

This is a full-time, permanent field-based leadership role. The Commercial Site Manager is responsible for overseeing all on-site activities, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with programme, specification, and commercial targets. You will manage the full lifecycle of works on site, from mobilisation through to completion, working closely with Project Managers, subcontractors, and clients. You'll represent Vital Synergy on site driving performance, ensuring compliance, and leading teams to deliver outstanding project outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Take full responsibility for site management, from initial setup through to final handover.
  • Lead and coordinate site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth delivery of works.
  • Monitor programme performance and ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Produce and manage daily and weekly progress reports and site documentation.
  • Ensure strict compliance with Health & Safety regulations, RAMS, and site procedures.
  • Conduct site inspections, audits, and toolbox talks to maintain safety standards.
  • Oversee quality control and ensure all works meet specifications and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage site logistics, materials, and coordination of deliveries.
  • Liaise with clients, project managers, and internal teams to ensure clear communication.
  • Identify and resolve site issues, risks, and delays proactively.
  • Take accountability for commercial performance, including labour control and overall project success.
Experience & Qualifications
  • Proven experience managing commercial construction or M&E projects.
  • Strong leadership experience managing site teams and subcontractors.
  • Valid CSCS card.
  • First Aid at Work certification (desirable).
  • Strong understanding of CDM regulations and Health & Safety compliance.
  • Experience delivering projects across sectors such as education, commercial, and public sector environments.
  • Excellent reporting, planning, and organisational skills.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving ability.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Enhanced DBS clearance (or willingness to obtain).
