Job Title: Freelance Site Manager - Modular Building Project
Location: Dartford
Contract Type: Freelance
Duration: 8 weeks

About the Project

We are seeking an experienced Freelance Site Manager to oversee the delivery of a new modular building project from installation through to completion and handover. The project involves the installation and fit-out of a high-quality off-site manufactured building, requiring strong coordination skills and a hands on management approach.

Key Responsibilities

Manage day-to-day site operations from module delivery to final completion
Coordinate modular installation, cranage, and on-site assembly
Oversee subcontractors and ensure works are delivered to programme
Maintain strict health & safety standards and site compliance
Liaise with client representatives, consultants, and suppliers
Ensure quality control and compliance with drawings and specifications
Manage site documentation, reporting, and progress updates
Identify and resolve any on-site issues efficiently

Requirements

Proven experience as a Site Manager on modular or off-site construction projects
Strong understanding of structural installation and finishing trades
Valid SMSTS certification
First Aid at Work qualification
CSCS card (Black or Gold preferred)
Excellent communication and leadership skills
Ability to manage programme and deliver to tight deadlines
