Site Manager


The role:


The purpose of the role is to ensure that all planned/reactive maintenance and associated activities for the contract and all additional works and delivered as per the agreed KPI and SLA.


Main Duties:


Manage the planned and reactive maintenance for the site; ensure materials are ordered on time for the completing of JPs (Job Packs).

Continually monitor all activities on site to ensure that all statutory, regulatory, and contractual compliance is met.

Complete EWNs/SON as and when needed and ensure they are submitted in good time to avoid contract compliance failure.

Checking of all Sub-Contractor RAMs and Method Statements and highlighting any issues.

Arrange for Hire Equipment as and when required, i.e., Cherry Pickers/MEWPs/Scaffolding and any other plant required in conjunction with VIVO DM.(Delivery Manager)

Assist with the booking in of all parts and their allocation to the relevant JP and engineer.

Assist in carrying out WHIPs and Retro Inspections and promote a pro-active safety culture.

Carry out periodic checks of operatives to ensure that they are fully compliant and all tickets are up to date, i.e. Gas safe, VIVO ID etc .

Undertake 6 monthly and 12 monthly PDPs of all operatives and highlight any issues ensuring they are submitted to HR on time.

Identify any training requirements needed for operatives to ensure that all tasks can be delivered.

Ensure that all urgent reactive Jobs are delivered on time and all paperwork is submitted correctly.

Ensure all AP requests are submitted on time to avoid delays.

Carry out all return-to-work interviews for all operatives returning from periods of illness.

Provide when requested operational data on performance and suggesting any improvements to your managers.

Preparing and presenting, site inductions, safety briefings and toolbox talks.

Authorise periods of absence, ensuring that the appropriate cover is in place for normal duties and on call systems also to keep Area Manager informed of all site absences.

Ensure that you are fully conversant within the contract of what is IN or OOS (Out of Scope) and where and if the IRL (Inclusive Repair Limit) applies to a job pack.

Ensure that all new employees are fully inducted and have the required tools and equipment to carry out their duties correctly.

Carry out Interviews and the recruitment of new personal in conjunction with the HR department and Area Manager.

Other Duties:

To follow all the most relevant legal requirements as stated in the Station/Client and Company Health and Safety Policy.

Assist the compliance supervisor in ensuring that all tools and testing equipment is in date, calibrated and registered on the asset register.


You will need to have a good understanding of site-based H&S and possess a full clean driving licence and ECS card. Additional qualifications, e.g. SMSTS, CDM- or H&S-related subjects, are always advantageous.
