Site Engineer - Water Sector
Location: Guildford, Surrey
Rate: £330-£360 per day (Ltd or CIS)
Contract Type: Freelance / Contract

An established civil engineering and infrastructure contractor is seeking an experienced Site Engineer to support delivery of a major project within the water sector in Guildford, Surrey. This role offers the opportunity to work on a long-term programme of works as part of a well-structured delivery team on a key infrastructure scheme.

Key Responsibilities

• Setting out for civil engineering works including pipelines, structures, and associated infrastructure
• Ensuring works are delivered in accordance with design drawings and specifications
• Maintaining accurate site records including as-builts and quality documentation
• Assisting with quality assurance, inspections, and technical compliance on site
• Supporting site management with daily engineering duties and problem solving
• Liaising with subcontractors and site teams to ensure works are completed safely and efficiently

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Site Engineer within the water, utilities, or civil engineering sectors
• Proficient in setting out using total stations and GPS equipment
• Strong understanding of engineering drawings and specifications
• Experience with QA processes and site documentation
• Relevant engineering qualification (HNC/HND/Degree or equivalent)
• CSCS card required
