Job overview The successful applicant will join a dynamic team of healthcare professionals on the regional acute neurosurgical ward. This role offers career development, specialist neurosurgical care management skills, and support for complex patients. Main duties of the job Responsibilities

The post holder will provide clinical and managerial nursing/midwifery leadership for a designated clinical area, ensuring standards of care are upheld. Working with the Supervisory Sister/Charge Nurse, they will ensure effective clinical leadership and accountability, acting in a manner that reflects the Trust's and profession's values. Responsibilities include:

• Managing a team within the clinical area.
• Ensuring the safety of the clinical area during each shift.
• Deputising for the Supervisory Sister/Charge Nurse and contributing to the development of patient-centered services.
• Contributing to Trust and national safety and quality objectives.
• Providing specialist clinical advice and care within the designated area.
