Job Description

Shop Manager

Location: Church Stretton

Salary: £25,948 per annum

Hours: 35 per week

Contract: Permanent

Overview

Lead a team representing the British Red Cross in your community. As a retail expert you will motivate a team and manage a friendly charity shop, delivering an outstanding shopping experience and generating funds for a diverse range of causes.

Responsibilities
  • Lead a team and provide a brilliant shopping experience for customers.
  • Work on the shop floor and coordinate activity behind the scenes, ensuring each day is varied and engaging.
  • Design a layout and environment that connects customers to the charity's cause.
  • Achieve financial targets, induct, train and manage new staff and volunteers.
  • Represent the British Red Cross at a high standard and embody our core values.
Qualifications
  • Retail experience at a supervisory level, delivering outstanding customer service and comfortable with organisational and cash handling duties.
  • Proven management skills to develop and inspire a team.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to work to targets and use initiative to achieve results.
  • Proficiency in PC use and proven IT skills experience.
  • A strong commitment to the British Red Cross cause and the ability to promote the shop as the charity retailer of choice in the community.
