£12.71 per hour, plus reward and benefit scheme

Contract Type: Permanent

Hours: 15 hours per week - 3 to 5 hours per day, including weekends on rota.

Shop Assistant - 73-75 George Street, Altrincham WA14 1RN.

Location: Two minutes walk from the Manchester Interchange, convenient by bus, train and Metrolink. Parking available on nearby Regent Road and disabled parking at the rear of the shop.

Key Responsibilities
  • Help maximise donated income through proactive stock generation, optimum pricing, and stock planning.
  • Set high standards of merchandising and housekeeping, ensuring health and safety is a priority.
  • Manage effective stock processes to keep the shop well merchandised with fresh, seasonal stock.
  • Act as a brand ambassador, supporting in-store campaigns and national fundraising initiatives.
  • Provide excellent customer service, including sorting and sizing stock and assisting customers with purchases.
  • Perform cash handling and till work.
  • Support the team in a fast paced retail environment.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Comfortable working in a busy fast paced environment.
  • Cash handling skills.
  • Basic IT skills (emails, instant messaging, video calls).
  • Organisational skills.
  • Lone working experience (desirable).
  • High street retail, leisure or hospitality background (desirable).
  • Experience with KPI and target achievement (desirable).
  • Team player.
  • Merchandising and stock rotation experience (desirable).
