Shop Assistant

Location: Kirkwall

Salary: £24,479 per annum, pro rata (£13.45 per hour)

Hours: 7 per week

Contract: Permanent

Responsibilities

• Assist the shop manager to run a lucrative, customer-focused shop that is the 'window of the British Red Cross' on the high street.
• Create a brilliant shopping environment and provide an excellent customer experience in store.
• Operate the till, act as the first point of contact for customers, and create striking displays.
• Sort stock and prepare items for display behind the scenes.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working in a retail environment and confidence handling money.
• Strong communication skills, thrive on providing excellent customer service and enjoy meeting many different people.
• Commercially savvy mindset with a grasp of hitting targets.
• Ability to appreciate and anticipate each customer's needs and delight them with the service provided.
