Permanent - Continental Shift Pattern (Days & Nights)
£55k - £60k (DOE) per annum + £2,058 Handover Allowance + £2,500 Allowance once you have site familiarisation
We are currently recruiting for a Shift Supervisor with a Electrical background, ideally holding HVAP (High Voltage Authorised Person) status, to join our prestigious critical environment contract near Cannon Street, London.
The ideal candidate will have experience working in a corporate or banking environment, preferably on trading floors or within a bank (though not essential). Strong communication and customer service skills are essential.
The Shift pattern is continental, Days and Nights. (7-7) Your basic shift pattern will be 4 nights on, 4 off, 3 days on, 3 nights on, 4 off, 4 days on, 6 off (repeat)
The role will ensure that various plant and systems are monitored remotely to ensure that any adverse changes in condition are escalated to the appropriate engineering staff as per escalation procedures. This will facilitate pro-active response to possible remedial actions required, as well as minimum lead times for action during emergencies.
Responsibilities
You will:
- Lead the team in provision of excellent service delivery by monitoring service performance, taking corrective action when necessary and escalating as appropriate.
- Provide first line management and leadership to contract dedicated team, setting team objectives and individual performance management reviews
- Monitor completion of PPM and reactive work through concept, analysis of Work in Progress (WIP) reporting and liaison with the helpdesk.
- Ensure compliance with statutory controls across all technical areas of expertise
- Carry out tool box talks with Engineers in team as prescribed by the SHEQ department.
- Carry out sub contractor quotations and produce quotes for any small works required on site.
- Assist in the production of monthly operations report
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of the portfolio buildings their layouts, functions and complexities through developed practices through scenario drills, continuous assessments, staff training and personal development
- Assist the Technical Manager by advising of any PPM's that are outstanding and will affect the performance of the Building or Client Reports, to ensure zero failure.
Requirements
You will have:
- Experience working as a Lead / Supervisor probably as Multi-Skilled Technician, experienced in a commercial setting carrying out PPM's in line with SFG20 or equivalent with advanced fault finding diagnostic experience.
- Experienced in Statutory & Mandatory Compliance Maintenance Records / Certification and uploading onto Service Systems.
- Completed a recognised Electrical Apprenticeship (Preferred not Essential)
- City & Guilds Electrical discipline competency Parts 1 & 2 or equivalent.
- APHV5 - Desirable
- 18th Edition IEE Regulations
- Safe systems of Work Procedure - PTW, RAMS, etc.
