Our client is a global, leading specialist for intelligent drive technology and systems as well as tailor-made services. They are looking for a Service Operations Manager to join their growing team. - Plan, schedule, and coordinate service activities, including maintenance, repairs, overhauls, and commissioning of drive and propulsions systems, auxiliary equipment.
- Ensure efficient allocation of service engineers and technical resources to meet customer needs and contractual obligations.
- Monitor and control costs, and profitability, ensuring adherence to financial policies.
- Develop and implement service procedures, workflows, and quality standards to optimize service delivery.
- Manage the inventory of spare parts, tools, and equipment, ensuring availability and utilization.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of service engineers and technicians, fostering a high-performance and collaborative work environment.
- Conduct performance reviews, identify training needs, and implement development plans for team members.
- Ensure team compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and industry best practices.
- Serve as a critical point of contact for key customers, building strong relationships and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Understand customer requirements, provide technical support and solutions, and effectively resolve service-related issues and complaints.
- Develop and present service proposals and reports internally and externally.
- Identify opportunities for service contract renewals, upgrades, and additional service offerings.
- Experience in relevant industry, with a strong focus on service and maintenance of equipment.
- Proven experience in managing and leading technical service teams (Rail & Marine preferred).
- Technical knowledge of mechanical and electrical drive systems and related technologies.
- Significant Travel across the UK & Ireland will be required involving nights away.
