Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and facilitate service design workshops with stakeholders, users, and cross-functional teams.
• Apply UCD methodologies to create seamless and inclusive user journeys.
• Work within GDS guidelines, ensuring services meet Service Standard assessments.
• Conduct user research and translate insights into actionable service improvements.
• Develop service blueprints, journey maps, and process flows to define service interactions.
• Collaborate closely with product managers, UX/UI designers, developers, and policy teams.
• Ensure services are designed with accessibility, scalability, and sustainability in mind.
• Advocate for user needs while balancing business and technical constraints.

Essential Skills & Experience:

• Proven experience as a Service Designer in public sector or government digital projects.
• Deep understanding of User-Centered Design (UCD) principles and methodologies.
• Strong knowledge of GDS standards, assessments, and accessibility guidelines.
• Hands-on experience creating service blueprints, journey maps, and process flows.
• Ability to work in an agile environment, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
• Experience conducting user research and usability testing.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficiency in design tools such as Miro, Figma, or Adobe XD
