A major government organisation is seeking an experienced Service Designer to support the design and improvement of critical digital services used across a complex multi-stakeholder environment. This is an opportunity for a highly autonomous Service Designer who can confidently lead service design activities from discovery through to delivery. Working alongside Product Managers, User Researchers and delivery teams, you will be responsible for mapping customer journeys, developing service blueprints and shaping end-to-end user experiences across a range of digital transformation initiatives. The successful candidate will be comfortable facilitating workshops, conducting design activities and engaging stakeholders across large organisations to identify opportunities for service improvement and innovation.

Please note, active SC Clearance or transferable SC Clearance is required, with active DV Clearance being desirable.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create and maintain service blueprints, journey maps and operating models
• Lead service design activities across complex digital programmes
• Facilitate workshops, co-design sessions and stakeholder engagement activities
• Analyse research findings and service performance data
• Design end-to-end customer journeys and service experiences
• Collaborate with Product Managers, User Researchers and delivery teams
• Translate business and user requirements into service design outputs
• Drive user-centred service improvements
• Support service transformation initiatives
• Build strong stakeholder relationships across multiple organisations
• Promote service design best practices
• Help establish and evolve service design capability

Ideal Candidate:

• Extensive Service Design experience within complex environments
• Strong service blueprinting and journey mapping expertise
• Experience facilitating workshops and stakeholder engagement sessions
• Excellent visual communication skills
• Ability to operate independently with minimal supervision
• Strong understanding of user-centred design principles
• Experience delivering digital transformation initiatives
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Confident managing senior stakeholder relationships
• Experience with design and visualisation tools
