We are looking for an experienced Service Delivery Manager to support a major transformation programme focused on cryptography, key management and privileged access.
The programme is modernising enterprise credential management, moving from long-lived static SSH keys towards centrally managed and short-lived certificate-based authentication.
This is a highly technical service delivery role. You will work closely with engineering, security, cloud, infrastructure and application teams to coordinate delivery, manage dependencies and risks, drive migration activity and ensure services and controls are delivered successfully across a large enterprise estate.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and coordinate the end-to-end delivery of cryptography, key-management and privileged-access workstreams.
- Coordinate delivery across engineering, infrastructure, cloud, security and application teams.
- Translate programme objectives and security requirements into clear delivery plans, milestones and actionable work packages.
- Manage dependencies, risks, issues, blockers and escalations through to resolution.
- Coordinate SSH key rotation, host onboarding and credential migration activities across the estate.
- Drive adoption of centrally managed and short-lived certificate-based authentication.
- Track discovery, ownership, remediation, migration and removal of Legacy credentials through to completion.
- Coordinate testing, service readiness, implementation and transition activities.
- Monitor delivery progress against milestones, highlighting slippage and taking corrective action where required.
- Provide clear progress, risk, dependency and delivery reporting to programme and senior leadership.
- Facilitate regular working groups, delivery forums and stakeholder meetings.
- Ensure operational teams are prepared to support new cryptographic and credential-management capabilities following implementation.
- Work with technical teams to resolve delivery blockers and ensure agreed actions are completed.
- Support governance, change management and delivery assurance across the programme.
Essential Experience
- Strong service delivery/technical delivery management experience within infrastructure, cybersecurity or security transformation.
- Demonstrable knowledge of public-key cryptography and PKI.
- Strong understanding of SSH authentication, including user/host keys, authorized_keys, known_hosts and agent forwarding.
- Understanding of certificate authorities, trust chains and certificate life cycle management, including CRL and OCSP.
- Knowledge of short-lived/ephemeral certificates and certificate-based authentication.
- Experience managing enterprise credential life cycle initiatives, including discovery, ownership, rotation and decommissioning.
- Proven experience coordinating complex technical deliveries across multiple engineering and infrastructure teams.
- Strong experience managing risks, issues, dependencies, milestones and delivery plans.
- Comfortable working across engineering, security, cloud, infrastructure and application teams.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to engage both technical teams and senior leadership.
- Experience working in large, complex enterprise environments with multiple technology teams and dependencies.
Desirable
- Experience with SSH key management or PAM platforms.
- Machine identity or certificate life cycle management.
- HSMs, cloud key management or secrets management.
- NIST, FIPS or PCI DSS cryptographic requirements.
- Crypto-agility or post-quantum readiness.
- CI/CD and source-control integration.
- Experience delivering technology change within financial services or other regulated environments.
- ITIL, PRINCE2, Agile or similar delivery/service management qualifications.
- CISSP or similar security certification.
Important: Strong practical cryptography and key-management knowledge is essential for this role.
If you are an experienced technical service delivery professional who can coordinate complex security and infrastructure change, manage multiple stakeholders and drive cryptographic and credential-management initiatives through to successful delivery, we would like to hear from you.
