Service Charge Accountant

We are working with a highly successful property management company who are seeking an experienced Service Charge Accountant to join their team in a sole-charge capacity, taking full ownership of the service charge accounting function across a varied property portfolio.

You will manage a varied property portfolio and work closely with property managers, clients and tenants, taking ownership of the service charge accounting process.

The role offers generous holidays and onsite parking.

Key Responsibilities:

• Preparing service charge budgets and year-end accounts
• Reconciliations, accruals and prepayments
• Managing sinking/reserve funds and major works
• Preparing service charge demands and maintaining accurate accounts
• Handling client and tenant queries
• Financial reporting and bank reconciliations
• Review supplier invoices and code expenditure accurately
• Produce financial reports for property managers and clients

Key Requirements:

• 4-5+ years' property management experience
• Hands-on Qube MRI experience - Essential
• Strong service charge accounting background
• Good Excel skills and excellent attention to detail
• Confident dealing with clients and tenants
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage deadlines independently
