We are seeking a motivated and organised Administrator to support our busy community drug and alcohol service. This is a key role providing essential administrative support to ensure smooth service delivery. You'll be responsible for managing referrals, maintaining accurate records, and supporting team communications. We have many clients to support so a smooth-running administrative team is crucial to us achieving our aims each and every day. There's great variety in this role ranging from greeting clients, minuting meetings, maintaining our data quality to processing assessments and providing criminal justice administrative support.

The role is a fixed term contract until 18/05/2027 and full time working 37.5 hours per week. The salary for this position is £30,250 per annum, this includes an Inner London Weighting payment of £4,000 per year.

The ideal candidate will have excellent attention to detail, strong IT skills, and a commitment to supporting vulnerable individuals. You will be highly organised, have excellent communication skills, and be able to manage your time effectively. You will work collaboratively as part of a team to ensure a high-quality service is maintained. Above all, we are looking for someone who is passionate about what we do and has a positive and engaging approach to our clients and key stakeholders.

As a leading charity supporting people with drug, alcohol, and mental health challenges, we operate over 80 services across England and Scotland, providing free and confidential support to more than 100,000 people each year.

  • Organised and reliable, providing strong administrative support
  • The ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of people
  • Be confident working in a team environment and able to work collaboratively
  • Experience working on reception
  • Skilled in data entry and management
  • Good analytical skills with an eye for detail
  • Intermediate or higher-level IT skills
  • To understand work-based Health & Safety issues
  • Some flexibility with working hours and location from time to time
  • If you have worked in a charitable organisation before and/or have knowledge or experience of our client group, that would be an advantage but not essential.
