Service Administrator

HMAPS is jointly commissioned between NHS England and His Majesty's Prison and Probation Service and comprises of the Offender Personality Disorder (OPD) Pathway and Intensive Interventions and Risk Management (IIRMS) service lines.

You will be part of a small psychologically led and informed specialised service. This role is a non-patient facing role and the post holder will provide administration support to the HMAPS team which is a multidisciplinary team providing psychological formulation, consultation, and training to the National Probation Service within Hampshire to service users who have personality difficulties linked to their offending behaviour.

The role requires someone who can work independently and who has good experience of working with multi-disciplinary teams. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required for this role with a flexible, self-driven and adaptable outlook to vocation.

An understanding of complex and different systems of working across health and probation services will be required to be successful in this role. Prior knowledge of either the probation recording system, nDelius or NHS systems, would be an advantage but full training will be provided.

The team comprises of a Multidisciplinary Team made up of Psychologists, Probation Staff, Occupational Therapists, Clinical Nurse Specialists, and Admin support.

Along side NHS pre-employment checks the post holder will be required to pass probation vetting.

Main duties of the job

Hampshire and Isle of Wight Multiagency Personality Service (HMAPS) is a jointly commissioned service between Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust (SHFT) and Her Majesty's Prison and Probation Service (HMPPS) in Hampshire.

This integrated health and probation service runs with a full-time administrator who works across both systems.

The administrator for the service is a vital link between Health and Probation and much communication will be coordinated by the administrator for the team.

The administrator will coordinate and input on both Health and Probation recording systems and will support with the coordination and compilation of reports from both systems.

The administrator will coordinate all referrals to the service and will be present at all key meetings such as Governance, referrals, and NHS England commissioning meetings.

Qualifications
  • NVQ level 2 in Business Administration or Customer Service or relevant experience
  • RSA 2 and audio typing or relevant experience
  • Numeracy and Literacy Skills Level 2 (GCSE grade A - C)
  • Commitment to Lifelong Learning
  • Current UK driving licence and use of a car.
  • European Computer Driving License (ECDL)
Experience
  • Previous experience in a general secretarial or administrative position in an office environment
  • Organising, attending, and taking minutes/notes at various level meetings
  • Organising events for workers and wider audiences
  • Good knowledge and understanding of GDPR and dealing with confidential and sensitive data
  • Appropriate maintenance and storage of records.
  • Previous experience of working in the NHS or Probation.
