• 2+ years experience supporting people with SEN
• Positive, warm, patient and energetic - with a genuine love of spending time with people with complex needs
• Confident with PECS - or enthusiastic to learn
• Some knowledge of Makaton - or openness to learn basic signs
• Knowledge of or interest in Intensive Interaction as a communication approach
• A genuine love of reading aloud, storytelling and sharing books
• Confident providing personal care including feeding support and assisting with drinking
• Able to offer consistent hydration and snack prompts throughout the day
• Comfortable with routine-based structure - able to build and maintain a calm, regulated daily rhythm
• Able to support gentle movement and outdoor walks, encouraging participation positively
• Confident communicating feedback to parents verbally or in writing at the end of each day
