Salary: £45,000 to £65,000 + Benefits

They offer full lifecycle support, including feasibility studies, detailed design, construction monitoring, project management, and sustainability advisory. The Opportunity

• Strategic Leadership: Help launch and grow the Cardiff office, build local client relationships, and influence the company's strategy in Wales

• Project Portfolio: Work across sectors such as education, healthcare, commercial, residential, and specialist projects including laboratories, hotels, and leisure

Key Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical engineering design and delivery, from feasibility through to project close-out
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, architects, M&E contractors, and other stakeholders
• Mentor junior engineers and support their professional development
• Contribute to energy performance and sustainability goals, including Part L compliance, dynamic simulation, and BREEAM
• Oversee site inspections, CDM compliance, contract administration, cost control, and scheduling

Essential Skills & Experience

• Chartered Mechanical Engineer or working towards chartership, with strong consultancy experience
• Proven track record delivering projects across sectors such as education, healthcare, labs, and commercial buildings
• Experience in sustainable design, including energy modelling, Part L compliance, and low or zero carbon systems
• Confident in client engagement, project management, and technical leadership
• Experience mentoring or managing junior engineers is desirable
