Overview

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Workday Recruitment Analyst to join their HR Technology function on an initial 6-month contract. This role will play a key part in the ongoing enhancement, support, and optimisation of the Workday platform, with a primary focus on Workday HCM and Recruiting/Onboarding.

The successful candidate will act as a trusted functional partner across HR, IT, and business stakeholders, translating business requirements into scalable Workday solutions while driving continuous improvement initiatives across the HR technology landscape.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead workshops and stakeholder engagements to gather, analyse and document business requirements.
  • Translate business needs into scalable Workday solutions and functional specifications.
  • Configure, test and deploy Workday solutions across HCM and Recruiting/Onboarding modules.
  • Provide functional leadership across BAU support, enhancements, system optimisation and issue resolution.
  • Partner with HR, HR Shared Services, Centres of Excellence, IT teams and external vendors to deliver effective solutions.
  • Manage Workday releases, ensuring readiness, testing and successful deployment of new functionality.
  • Coordinate and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), system testing and production verification activities.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline HR processes, reduce manual effort and improve user experience.
  • Support troubleshooting activities and collaborate with integration teams to resolve system issues.
  • Ensure appropriate governance, documentation, change control and best practice standards are maintained.
  • Act as a subject matter expert for Workday Recruiting and HCM, providing guidance to stakeholders and colleagues.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the HR Technology function.
Required Experience
  • Strong hands-on Workday configuration experience within HCM and Recruiting/Onboarding.
  • Proven experience operating as a senior functional analyst within a Workday environment.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting BAU activities, system enhancements and change initiatives.
  • Experience managing testing activities including UAT planning and execution.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to engage effectively across business and technical teams.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving and organisational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, global environment.
  • Experience working within structured change and governance frameworks.
Desirable Experience
  • Workday certifications.
  • Experience with additional Workday modules such as Benefits and/or Absence Management.
  • Experience supporting global HR systems and processes.
  • Exposure to Workday integrations and downstream HR technology ecosystems.
  • Previous experience within large enterprise environments.
