What you'll do

We build all our digital solutions from the ground up, utilising WordPress Gutenberg flexible content with Advanced Custom Fields, delivering a streamlined and tailored product for our clients. Your core responsibilities will be working on premium WordPress business websites and WooCommerce e-commerce solutions. You'll be involved in the early stages of the project, from discovery through to completion and continuous improvement, helping to define and positively influence the project's requirements, scope and success.

Your skills & experience

  • 8+ years experience working with WordPress, Woocommerce or other ecommerce platforms
  • Educated to degree level
  • Competent in best practice coding standards and delivering sustainable, high-performing and accessible digital products
  • Expert knowledge of PHP, MySQL, HTML, CSS, Sass, JavaScript and JS libraries such as jQuery
  • Deep experience with the Gutenberg editor
  • Confident with version control, build tools, third-party integrations and managing sites via dedicated hosting platforms
  • Confident in creating custom functionality within custom theme and plugin development
  • Experience using Composer, Gulp and Grunt
  • Understanding and experience of the software development lifecycle
  • Experience creating technical specifications and process flow diagrams to help define the development process
  • Understanding of how to write maintainable code and the importance of testing
  • Experience developing custom integrations using 3rd party APIs
  • Experience creating custom WordPress Plugins
  • Experience working with complex product data, taxonomy and ecommerce store configuration
  • Excellent English language communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to communicate effectively with a technical and non-technical audience
  • Understanding of User Experience design
  • Experience using GIT
  • Experience with project management tools
  • Comfortable with collaborative tools such as Google Docs
