Pay Rate: £15.50 - £16.50 per hour
Hours: Late Shift Pattern (Full Time)
Contract: Permanent

We are recruiting for an experienced Senior Warehouse Operative to join a busy and fast paced distribution operation in Kidderminster.

This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with strong warehouse and logistics experience who is looking to take the next step in their career. Working within the Despatch function, you will play a key role in supporting daily operations, leading by example on the warehouse floor, and assisting with the development and performance of the wider team.

This is a hands on position and would suit someone who enjoys being actively involved in warehouse operations rather than working in a purely office based role.

The Role

As Senior Warehouse Operative, you will support the efficient running of the Despatch department, ensuring products are picked, packed, checked, processed, and loaded accurately and on time.

Working closely with Supervisors and the wider warehouse team, you will help drive productivity, maintain quality standards, support training activities, and contribute to the smooth day to day operation of a busy distribution environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Supporting the day to day running of the Despatch operation.
• Leading by example and assisting team members to achieve daily productivity and quality targets.
• Training, coaching, and supporting new and existing team members.
• Ensuring products are picked, packed, checked, processed, and loaded accurately.
• Monitoring productivity, quality, and operational performance standards.
• Supporting stock accuracy and warehouse compliance procedures.
• Ensuring colleagues have the equipment and resources required to work safely and efficiently.
• Assisting with the resolution of operational issues and escalating concerns where appropriate.
• Promoting a positive team culture and collaborative working environment.
• Supporting compliance with Health & Safety procedures and company standards.

About You

• Previous experience within a warehouse, logistics, distribution, despatch, or fulfilment environment.
• Experience supporting, training, mentoring, or guiding colleagues on the warehouse floor.
• Strong understanding of warehouse processes including picking, packing, checking, and despatch.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a fast paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Good numeracy and literacy skills.
• Experience using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) would be advantageous.
• Proactive approach with strong problem solving abilities.
• Ability to motivate others and lead by example.
