Job Description

Contract - Senior User Researcher (Law Enforcement Client)

Day Rate: Up to £710 per day (Inside IR35)
Location: London - Hybrid (1-2 days onsite, Southwark and Vauxhall)
Contract Length: 12 months
Clearance: Active SC required. Need to go through Enhanced SC prior to start date

The Opportunity

An opportunity to join a high-profile Law Enforcement digital transformation programme (SARs) within the National Security Division. You'll lead user research activities that shape the design and delivery of critical public services.

The role involves driving end-to-end research - planning, testing, analysing and synthesising insights - to ensure digital solutions are built around genuine user needs. You'll work in agile, multidisciplinary teams to champion user-centred design and influence key delivery decisions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and plan user research across complex digital services.

  • Align research insights with product and service strategy.

  • Embed user-centred design practices within agile delivery teams.

  • Mentor and support other researchers, ensuring quality and consistency.

  • Deliver inclusive, accessible research and actionable recommendations.

  • Build and manage strong stakeholder relationships across the programme.

Essential Experience

  • Proven experience as a Senior User Researcher in government or regulated environments.

  • Expertise in agile research methodologies and user-centred design.

  • Strong analytical and synthesis skills, with the ability to present clear findings.

  • Understanding of accessibility and inclusive design standards.

  • Experience managing research within secure, multi-stakeholder settings.
