Senior Techinical Services Administrator

You will provide a comprehensive secretarial and administration service to the National Construction Programme Manager and their team, whilst also providing support to other Regional Estates & Facilities managers and members of the Technical Services Team as and when required.We can offer a friendly working environment where teamwork is highly valued and indirectly contributes to the saving and improving of patients lives.You will work with managers and staff across the country and will visit our centres as and when required as part of the Project Team.You will undertake an induction and training programme, with ongoing assessment, and receive ongoing development to support you in your role and achieving your career ambitions.
Main duties of the jobYou will be providing a highly professional, proactive and comprehensive secretarial and administration service to undertake administrative duties for the Construction Programme and Technical Services. Your duties will typically include:Maintaining communication links between managers, teams and external agencies, which enables the construction programme is delivered on time and to the required standards.Providing dedicated support to a named senior manager(s) within the team to ensure diary, travel arrangements and all relevant paperwork and documents are prepared in advance.Assisting in the development and preparation of project plans, producing instructions for new works and recommending amendments to existing policies and protocols.Monitoring capital, revenue and backlog maintenance budgets and prepare a monthly report for the National Construction Programme Manager.Maintaining records for annual leave, training, expenditure and staff absence.Dealing with queries and requests for information from members of the public.On occasions you will be required to travel to other NHSBT and external sites, with appropriate notice.

- NVQ Level 4 or equivalent qualification in an administration related subject OR equivalent relevant experience to NVQ Level 4.
- European Computer Driving Licence (ECDL) (part I & II) or ITQ2, or CLAIT II or OCR (RSA) level 3 OR equivalent experience.
- Demonstrates commitment to own continuous learning and development (CPD).
- Experience of working in a similar project or service delivery environment.
- Ability to work under pressure and to use own initiative to resolve problems in a timely manner.
- Comprehensive knowledge of office management and project management procedures.
- Ability to analyse complex financial and project data.
- Competent use of IT, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Teams) and Project packages.
