Role Overview: The Senior Tax Manager will lead key areas of the Group Tax team's responsibilities, in particular all aspects of IFRS tax reporting for group and statutory accounting, and management of the group's global outsourced tax provider to ensure all tax compliance obligations are met. With two direct reports, the role has responsibility for UK and EMEA direct tax compliance obligations, and Pillar 2 compliance matters, which are managed in-house.This opportunity would suit someone who thrives on driving and implement change.You will acting as the lead support for the Group Head of Tax on tax risk and governance matters, such as Senior Accounting Officer and ensuring the tax team fulfils the requirements of TP ICAP's risk and governance frameworks. The role requires a strong background in corporate tax compliance and reporting, with particular experience in the UK and preferably EMEA. Role Responsibilities: Delivery of group and statutory IFRS tax reporting and forecasting, robustly and efficiently, including ETR forecasting and liaising with the external auditors on tax matters. Ownership of the relationship with the group's global tax compliance outsourcer to ensure that all compliance obligations globally are met, and management and challenge of global tax compliance fees. This includes day-to-day management of EMEA direct tax compliance. Lead on tax risk and governance matters, including Senior Accounting Officer and supporting Group Tax's input as required for other TP ICAP governance requirements. Line management of two direct reports, with a view to growth and development, and working with other senior tax managers to support resourcing and development across the team.Additionally, management of: All aspects of UK corporation tax compliance, including preparation of returns and quarterly instalment payments, and dealing with HMRC enquiries. Pillar 2 compliance globally, including the UK GIR and IIR calculations which are prepared internally, and ensuring global filing requirements are met. Experience / Competences: Essential Tax accounting skills, including a good knowledge of IFRS and practical experience of IAS12. Both technical knowledge and experience of UK corporation tax. Experienced with Oracle and Onestream, or similar. Experienced with Alphatax or similar. Skilled in Microsoft applications software, in particular Excel. Understanding of Wholesale Financial Services desirable. ACA or ACCA qualified. CTA qualification also beneficial. Organisational and interpersonal skills, adaptable and resilient. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Results oriented with personal accountability, and great team player. Excellent attention to detail, quality and control. Conscientious, self-motivated, able to work with minimal supervision and goal orientated.
