The Role

You will be at the heart of our Warships business unit, supporting the delivery of key naval projects such as HMS Bulwark and future Frigate upkeeps. As a Senior Support Engineer you will contribute directly to the operational readiness of the Royal Navy, helping to maintain and upgrade some of the UK's most critical defence assets.

Day to day you will be part of an experienced and supportive team, working closely with internal departments, subcontractors and stakeholders including the Ministry of Defence and Royal Navy. This is a fantastic opportunity to grow your technical expertise, gain exposure across multiple disciplines and make a meaningful impact in defence engineering.

  • Supporting the Constructive Production Manager with project delivery
  • Providing technical expertise, drawings and documentation
  • Scoping and planning work packages based on customer requirements
  • Procuring equipment and materials to meet project needs
  • Managing subcontractors and liaising with key stakeholders

This role is full time, 35 hours per week and is predominantly onsite, but hybrid working is open. Overtime is available on occasions dependent on workload. The job will involve visits to vessels to carry out survey and scoping work packages.

Essential Experience
  • Proven experience in an engineering or technical environment
  • Strong IT skills and familiarity with company systems
  • Confident communicator with excellent verbal and written skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
Qualifications
  • HNC or equivalent in an engineering or technical discipline
  • Equivalent experience may be considered based on relevance
Security Clearance

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain a Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
