Senior Structural Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Lead the delivery of structural designs using software tools and hand calculations
• Manage and oversee projects from feasibility to completion, including site inspections and reporting
• Collaborate with clients, contractors, and design professionals to ensure project success
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations (e.g., CDM 2015, planning approvals, listed buildings)
• Monitor budgets, resources, and contractor performance to meet deadlines and standards
• Support business development by promoting services and maintaining client relationships

Minimum Qualifications & Experience:

• Structural Engineering MEng or equivalent
• Broad experience in a consultancy setting, with knowledge of engineering, surveying, architecture, and planning practices
• Up-to-date knowledge of industry standards, technical guidance, and legislation
• Proven ability to manage complex projects successfully
• Strong analytical, numerical, and IT skills
• Proactive, solutions-focused approach to problem-solving
