Senior Strategic Sourcing Specialist (Medical Device) Shape the Future of Neurology Innovation

We are seeking an experienced Senior Strategic Sourcing Specialist to play a critical role in advancing cutting edge neurology medical devices. This is a high impact individual contributor role with end to end ownership of strategic sourcing categories, directly influencing product delivery, supply resilience, and commercial success in a highly regulated MedTech environment.

Based in Gort, Co. Galway, this hybrid position offers the opportunity to collaborate across global teams while contributing to a mission that enhances patient outcomes worldwide.

The Opportunity

You will operate as a strategic leader within the sourcing function, partnering with Product Development, Quality, Supplier Engineering, Regulatory, and Operations to ensure suppliers meet the highest standards of performance, compliance, and innovation.

This role is ideal for a commercially astute sourcing professional who thrives on ownership, influence, and measurable impact.

Key Responsibilities

• Own and execute category strategies aligned to long term business goals, cost competitiveness, and supply continuity
• Act as the commercial lead for your categories, driving value through supplier selection, negotiation, and development
• Deliver against critical KPIs across cost, quality, service, and risk
• Lead senior level supplier engagement, including performance reviews and strategic partnerships
• Ensure full compliance with GMP, ISO, and regulatory standards, supporting audits and supplier qualification
• Identify and mitigate supply chain risks, ensuring uninterrupted product supply
• Drive adoption of best in class sourcing processes, tools, and governance frameworks
• Partner cross functionally on NPI, lifecycle management, and capacity planning
• Contribute to budgeting, cost forecasting, and long range sourcing strategies
• Act as a subject matter expert and mentor, supporting sourcing excellence across the organisation

What You Bring

• 7-10+ years' experience in Strategic Sourcing or Category Management
• Proven experience within MedTech or highly regulated manufacturing (pharma, biotech, aerospace also considered)
• Strong track record managing complex, high value sourcing categories
• Deep understanding of supplier management in GMP / ISO environments
• Advanced negotiation and commercial acumen
• Demonstrated ability to influence cross functional stakeholders and suppliers at senior levels
• Track record of delivering measurable results across cost, quality, and service metrics
• Experience driving process improvements, sourcing transformation, or digital tool implementation
