Job Description

The Primary Care Centre in South Laois is seeking a Temporary Senior Speech and Language Therapist with expertise in working with adults. The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating speech, language, and communication disorders in adult patients. This role involves collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans that enhance communication abilities and improve quality of life for clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of speech, language, and communication disorders in adults.
• Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to deliver holistic care.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient progress and treatment outcomes.
• Participate in team meetings and case conferences to ensure cohesive patient care.

Qualifications and Skills

• Degree in Speech and Language Therapy or a related field.
• Registration with a relevant professional body, CORU.
• Proven experience working with adults in a clinical setting.
• Strong assessment and therapy skills in speech, language, and communication disorders.
