• Hours of Work - 17.5 Hours - the allocation of these hours will be at the discretion of the Department Head and in accordance with needs of service
• Location of Post - Peamount Healthcare, Newcastle, Co. Dublin
• Working Model - Fully Onsite
• Remuneration - Current salary scale with effect from 1st February 2026: €64,551 (point 1) to €76,007 (point 9).
• Annual Leave - As per Health Service Executive (HSE)
• Proposed Interview Date - Friday May 15th 2026
• Take Up Appointment - Successful applicant(s) must be available to take up the role within a reasonable timeframe
• Reporting Relationship - Speech and Language Therapy Manager

PURPOSE OF THE POST

The Senior Speech and Language Therapist will be responsible for the provision and delivery of a high quality Speech and Language Therapy service in the designated clinical area(s) and will carry out clinical, educational and administrative duties as required.

To work in collaboration with the Speech and Language Therapy Manager in planning, developing, coordinating and evaluating the service to meet the needs of the service users and the objectives of the organisation.

POINT ON SALARY SCALE

New appointees coming from the private sector will be placed on the minimum point of the scale. Incremental credit may be applied for recognised relevant service in Ireland and abroad (Department of Health Circular 2/2011) in the Civil Service, local authorities, public service, health service and other public service bodies and statutory agencies.
