Role OverviewWe are looking to appoint a specialist within the Pricing Team. The successful candidate will report to the Manager of the Pricing Team. The Pricing Team, within the BTS fund administration department of Keyridge, is responsible for the production, validation & explanation of daily fund valuations. The Pricing Team acts as the last line of defence in fund accounting and a critical function within Group Operations and their services include NAV calculation, checks, adjustments, publication and reporting.
Working as part of a small team, this is an excellent opportunity for the right candidate to gain exposure to an array of varied and diverse processes to develop their knowledge and skillset with excellent exposure to various stakeholders within the business.
The team operates an early working arrangement and a hybrid working model.
What you will help us to achieveReporting to the Pricing Team Manager, the Pricing Specialist is responsible for the accurate and timely completion of daily fund pricing and related tasks, acting as a subject matter expert.
- Daily production, validation (e.g. tolerance breaches) & explanation of daily fund valuations.
- Resolving valuation queries and pricing issues.
- Demonstrate advanced proficiency & understanding of processes, systems & products.
- Preparing valuations for ad-hoc portfolios and in-specie transfers.Accurate & timely delivery of pricing calculations (e.g. adjustments, error impacts).
- Performing NAV reconciliations with external parties.
- Audit walkthroughs, sample collection and queries.
- Participating in incident reporting, root cause analysis, and implementation of preventative actions.
- Proactively identifying process improvements and participating in systems upgrades and maintenance.
- Becoming a subject matter expert, providing guidance to Analysts and supporting training and onboarding.
- Representing the team in cross-functional forums and service review meetings.
- Maintaining and updating procedural documentation for all key activities.
- Completion of operational due diligence (ODD) for external manager fund arrangements, assessing the operational readiness of adding new external funds to our platform.
- Monitoring and reporting of external manager fund arrangements.
The ideal applicant will possess the following skills and knowledge:
- Excellent numerical, analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to provide solutions under time pressure. High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Proactive approach to identifying, understanding and mitigating risks, understanding processes and solving problems.
- Strong organisational, planning, and prioritisation skills, with proven ability to work to tight deadlines and see tasks through to completion.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills, with an ability to build and maintain effective working relationships.
- Desire and willingness to challenge and improve practices and processes.
- Strong IT skills, particularly Excel. Proficiency in valuation tools and applications (e.g. Bloomberg, Factset).
It would be an advantage to have:
- Experience of working within a fund administration area (Pricing, Asset Servicing, Reporting).
- Proven experience as subject matter expert in a similar environment.
- Knowledge of the External Manager review processes, from client request through due diligence and approval to cashflow and trading.
