Liverpool (Hybrid working)

Full-time

Circa £60,000+

A well-established and growing claimant law firm is seeking an experienced Senior Solicitor to take a pivotal role within its motor finance mis-selling practice.

This opportunity would suit a solicitor who enjoys combining hands-on litigation with leading teams, shaping strategy, and improving high-volume case delivery.

The Role

You will play a key role in supporting teams running large volumes of litigated and non-litigated claims, while also personally managing complex and atypical cases, including omnibus actions.

The position involves close collaboration with legal, operational and technical teams to ensure cases are progressed efficiently, compliantly and to the best possible outcome for clients.

Key areas of focus include:

  • Oversight of litigated and pre-litigation motor finance claims
  • Challenging counterparties on disclosure, complaints handling and recognition of representation
  • Advising on and maintaining CFAs, DBAs and engagement documentation
  • Providing legal support where statutory or regulatory breaches arise
  • Horizon scanning for developments in financial mis-selling law and regulation
  • Sampling communications and workflows to ensure regulatory compliance
  • Developing strategies to maximise recoverable costs without compromising results
  • Contributing to workflow, system and process design, with a strong focus on efficiency and technology

Responsibilities:

  • Running fully litigated cases, including drafting pleadings and applications
  • Managing evidence, disclosure and interlocutory matters
  • Applying the Civil Procedure Rules with confidence
  • Mentoring, supporting and training fee-earning teams
  • Leading by example while remaining fee-earning
  • Embedding best practice across high-volume teams

About You:

  • Qualified solicitor with a minimum of 5 years PQE (ideal range 5-10 years)
  • Strong experience running your own litigated caseload
  • Proven drafting ability and solid CPR knowledge
  • Experience supervising or mentoring junior fee earners
  • Commercially aware, organised and detail-focused
  • Interested in process improvement and legal technology
  • A proactive leader with a strong sense of ownership

What's on Offer:

  • A collaborative, high-calibre working environment
  • Hybrid working with flexibility
  • Access to advanced, proprietary legal technology
  • Influence over how cases, teams and systems evolve
  • Clear long-term progression within a forward-thinking firm
