Senior Solicitor - PPI / Plevin (PIVAT) Litigation Douglas Scott are on the search for an established law firm who have one of the largest Consumer Financial Mis Selling Portfolios in the UK A forward thinking, high volume litigation practice is seeking an exceptional and driven Solicitor to take ownership of its PPI / Plevin (PIVAT) department. This is not just Senior Solicitor role. This is a rare opportunity to lead, shape and future proof a nationally significant caseload of approximately 250,000 live claims. If you combine technical litigation expertise with operational leadership at scale, this is your platform. The Opportunity You will take strategic control of one of the largest consumer financial mis selling portfolios in the market, influencing: - Litigation strategy - Departmental performance - Regulatory compliance - Commercial efficiency - Long term growth direction From intake through to settlement or judgment, you will ensure robust case progression, procedural integrity and the highest professional standards. Your Impact You will: - Strategically manage and progress a substantial portfolio of PPI / Plevin (PIVAT) claims - Conduct detailed and technical file reviews on complex or disputed matters - Determine litigation strategy across high volume caseloads - Draft and approve pleadings, witness statements, settlement agreements and lender correspondence - Supervise pre action protocols, negotiations, mediations and hearings - Lead, mentor and develop fee earners and support staff - Monitor developments in consumer credit litigation and FCA guidance - Ensure compliance with SRA standards and GDPR obligations - Collaborate with senior leadership to improve reporting and workflow efficiency - Maintain clear, professional client communication throughout the claim lifecycle About You You are: A qualified Solicitor of England and Wales with a current practising certificate Highly experienced in financial mis selling, consumer credit disputes or civil litigation Technically strong in PPI claims, Plevin unfair relationship principles and the PIVAT process Confident managing high volume caseloads without compromising accuracy or compliance A strong advocate, negotiator and communicator Ideally experienced in supervising or leading teams You thrive in complex, fast moving litigation environments and are ready to operate at scale.
