This role offers an opportunity to work on a high-impact affiliate management platform for SaaS companies, focusing on scaling, infrastructure optimization, and delivering robust software solutions. You will contribute to the platform's architecture, develop new features, and enhance system reliability while collaborating with a distributed engineering team. The position provides autonomy to make technical decisions, implement scalable solutions, and mentor peers, all within a remote, flexible, and fast-paced environment. You will tackle challenges related to cloud infrastructure, performance optimization, and containerized deployments, ensuring a seamless experience for users. This is ideal for engineers who enjoy working hands-on across the full stack and driving meaningful business outcomes.

Accountabilities
  • Design, develop, and deploy new features for the affiliate management platform using Ruby on Rails and supporting technologies.
  • Lead infrastructure optimization and scalability improvements, including planning and implementing migrations from Heroku to a more customizable cloud environment.
  • Configure and manage containerized environments using Docker and Kubernetes, ensuring high availability and reliability.
  • Collaborate with client stakeholders and team members to finalize technical approaches, address operational challenges, and provide solutions.
  • Write automated tests, conduct code reviews, and maintain overall code quality and system performance.
  • Support customer operations by building tools to automate platform tasks and reduce manual work.
  • Mentor peers and contribute to team knowledge sharing, best practices, and continuous improvement.
Technical Skills
  • 3+ years of professional experience with Ruby on Rails, including running Rails at scale and addressing performance challenges.
  • Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Docker, cloud infrastructure automation, and CI/CD pipeline management.
  • Familiarity with PostgreSQL, Redis, Sidekiq, and testing frameworks such as RSpec and Capybara.
  • Basic frontend skills with JavaScript and CSS for occasional development tasks.
  • Experience with app deployment, monitoring, and production system maintenance.
