Job Overview

We are looking for Software Engineers to join a development team based hybrid, in the Netherlands responsible for creating and delivering new additions to our product suite. As a Software Engineer, you'll be an integral part of a focused team of 3-5 software engineers together with QA, Devops and UX specialists. Software teams at Harver independently own domain services within our product-suite and are responsible for their development, maintenance, releases and integration. In This Role You Get To

• Create, deploy and manage a SaaS software used by millions of people globally.
• Practice all facets of good software development: user experience, performance, scalability, security, maintainability etc. Engage in the process of making software.
• You will be inspired by methodologies such as Lean Development and Extreme Programming.
• Work with engineering principles: Simple Design. Build up system complexity through frequent simple steps. Simplicity before generality. Behavior Driven Development. Continuous Delivery.
• Collaborate in a team-based environment to deliver software with understanding of production and real-world usage.
• Experience with or openness to Kanban and Lean styles of working (XP concepts preferred).

We're Looking For People Who Have

• Working experience as a software developer
• Comfort commuting to the office minimum 3 times a week, in Amsterdam, Netherlands; we are unable to sponsor work visas at this time.
• Familiarity with our technical stack. Consider yourself a full-stack engineer, with a bias toward frontend or backend acceptable.
• BS/MS in computer science or equivalent work experience
• Experience within software development (BDD & TDD, CI/CD, pair programming), preferably in a SaaS environment
• Excellent communication skills (written & verbal). Familiarity with Node, React, Typescript, Postgres, Mongo, AWS is a bonus; focus is on delivering great products and inspiring others.
• Desire to work in a collaborative, continual-learning environment and stay up to date with technology
• Interest in liberating from traditional sprints and story points; openness to alternative workflows
