A leading technology company operating across Europe and North America is looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to join its Amsterdam-based engineering team. The company provides cloud infrastructure solutions for compute intensive applications and operates its data centers to deliver scalable compute power for demanding workloads.
As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will contribute to the development of backend services focused on security, billing, and monitoring systems. You will work within a fast paced, distributed environment using technologies such as Golang, managed databases, Kubernetes, and scalable infrastructure components. This position is hybrid, based in Amsterdam.
Key Responsibilities- Design, implement, and maintain backend services in Golang
- Work on systems for billing and monitoring within the platform
- Collaborate with cross functional teams across cloud infrastructure and security services
- Focus on system scalability, reliability, and performance for high load applications
- 8+ years of professional experience in software engineering, ideally in Golang or e.g. Python, Java.
- Proven experience with or readiness to transition into Golang
- Minimum of 2 years of experience with cloud technologies
- Familiarity with distributed systems and Kubernetes is a strong plus
- Strong problem solving and architectural design skills
- Being in the EU. Visa sponsorship is possible.
- Base salary between €90,000 and €120,000
